In your 'jobs you have has in your life' what is number 2? What part of advertising and computer specialist area did you work in?
ReplyDeletewow! Randomly reminded me.. that I didn't tell you.. that over spring break i watched all 6 Star Wars Movies.. in a row.. and didn't sleep [..much].
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well!
and by the by..
ReplyDeleteIV was boring.. how is that your favorite?
I guess.. you're into the old movie stuff.. I blame not liking the original trio on the fact that i'm an artist and the film making was not pleasing to the eye.
Allister, to address your comment:
ReplyDeleteMy father started his own home inspection business (BPHI). Over a span of almost four years I did a number of things including:
*Designing and producing logos, brochures, business cards, flyers, slogans, and other such advertising materials
*Creating and maintaining essentially a home office and computer for him, mostly MS office and email
*Editing and providing input to hundreds of 1-5 page final inspection reports
Hopefully that answers your question
Alicia-
ReplyDeleteAll six in a row is hardcore. You rock, and I hope you're feeling better.
I refuse to say the original trilogy is "old movie stuff". Regardless, I view IV as a classic of not only Star Wars, but movies themselves. It's quite amazing as far as character development goes, and I found the film making to be more than pleasing to my eye.
I really could watch any of the OT endlessly, but a few specific parts that stick out in my mind:
*Han Solo as a character: complex, smug and sarcastic, yet he changes heart and saves the day with a triumphant "yeahooo!"
*The last half hour. Seriously. The dogfights over the surface of the Death Star are throwbacks to the republic serials and arial footage of WWII, and still make me sit on the edge of my seat. I get goosebumps everytime I hear "Red 5 standing by."
*The archetypal notion of a wisened sage, Obi Wan. Alec Guiness brought a warmth and dignity to this movie when most people assumed it would be cheesy cardboard planets. His sacrifice as well as guidance of the young farmboy Luke is classic.
