sharks in pretty bodies

The highlight of my weekend was the BEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER.

I spent the pre-game with Sarah, Cathleen, and Alex (and other friends) tailgating with Alex's family even though it was cold as hell. Purdue won 24-17 over Ohio State University, securing our bowl game for the eight consecutive year. Purdue Coach Joe Tiller got his 100th win, and reciever Taylor Stubblefield is now within six catches of breaking the NCAA record. Even better was Kyle Orton's redeeming clutch performance in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. Relieving underclassman starting quarterback Brandon Kirsch, he resumed his early-season performance to win from a 17-17 tie. The best part was definitely our marching band's Halftime Tribute to Queen, including a royal crown marching formation for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Purdue 6-4, 3-4 Big Ten
BOILER UP for next week's game against our rival, Indiana University!
...

Forget that earlier optimism.

Damage report:
*The physics exam went ok, (low B, I think) considering how much time I spend on engineering instead of that class.
*The spectroscopy chemistry lab went suprisingly well (I misunderstood, we doubled up groups on that lab) and my group decided to meet for the report the day before it's due.
*I finished "convincing" the TAs to change my engineering project grade which leaves me with a 48/50 on both parts.
*Managed to catch part of the aerospace lecture on energy and solar vehicles. The part with opening remarks and introductions before Dr. MaCready got to speak about anything interesting.
*Improv sucked on friday. Period.
*Two more exams, engineering paper, homework, another lab, and the first part of our second engineering project.
*Our house in Cincinnati (damaged by the storm) has been completely structurally refurbished but still has no furnishings, and it's anybody's guess what will happen with my family for Thanksgiving.

I'm homesick and I don't feel well.

I don't know if I'm gonna make it.
