*China has officially joined the space faring nations of the world by launching Yang Liwei aboard the Shenzhou 5 spacecraft this morning at 01:00 GMT Wednesday (9:00 Tuesday, local time). Completing one orbit of the earth every 90 minutes, the hero of the Chinese Republic reported that "I feel fine" as he entered space. Liwei, 38, is a test pilot and an avid skater and hails from the Chinese northeast province of Liaoning.
