GSC Update:
*Chinese officals have stated that testing for the Shenzhou 5 spacecraft have been progressing rapidly and satisfactorily toward the first manned Chinese launch. This would make China only the third (behind the U.S. and Russia) country to independently launch a human being into space. The spacecraft, Shenzhou 5, will be launched atop a Chinese-designed/built Long March 2F Booster from the Chinese launch facility, Jiuquan Space Launch Center. 14 Chinese astrounauts, also known as taikonauts or yuhang yuans, are all young male fighter pilots chosen for training, but none have been officially labeled as the first. Some speculate the launch to occur as early as October 1st (Chinese National Day), but experts predict mid-October at the earliest.
*Two more Uranian moons have been discovered, bringing the total to 24, the third most in our solar system.
