Not much goin' on around here...pretty much just killin' time before my picnic on the 29th, and Purdue on August 14th.
My back hurts today. It does that sometimes.
Finished re-reading I, Robot (ahhhh, sweet sweet robot stories) and although it's no longer a mystery, I'm starting to pick up things I missed the first few times I read it (I dunno, like 5 or 6 years ago). I'm now into my new flying book, "Stick and Rudder; An Explanation of the Art of Flying" by Wolfgang Langewiesche. I orginally discovered it reading all my astronaut books, it's one of those perennial books that's considered a "classic" definitive work within it's field. Anybody who's anybody (pilots, of course) have read Stick and Rudder. It's actually really good. Long story short, it describes a oomplex and thorough theory about how interior wing chord versus relative wind speed and direction can account for almost every aspect of flying. Lemme put it another way. I miss flying.
Congratulations to cyclist Lance Armstrong for his sixth consecutive Tour De France win. The man is a machine.
Let's see...what else. OH! Queen has begun the road of redemption. After such horrible desecrations including William Hung and Viagra taking shots at "We Are the Champions," I saw a commercial the other day for C2 (Coca-Cola's 1/2 Carb beverage)with Queen's "I Want to Break Free." And it was good.
George Lucas revealed the new title for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Originally, Episode VI, Return of the Jedi, was supposed to be Revenge of the Jedi. I think the new title is nice, because it helps tie the new trillogy in with the old, and helps ensure continuity. Doesn't change the fact that the orignal trillogy is the best. Can't wait for it to come out on DVD September 21st!
And with that, I leave you with Red Green's Mens rules of hygiene
If it's dirty, wash it
If it's hairy, clip it and
If it needs "exfoliating," call a plumber or a clergyman
"Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."

I know this may sound strange, but I think the new C2 cola tastes a tad better than Coca-Cola. Not to mention it's healthier. Who would have ever thought healthy and soda could be in the same sentence?
