New computer game/obsession- Medal of Honor: Allied Assault

I felt kind of awkward having never played the game before and just jumping into it, especially online against other real players. Still, it was a lot of awesome fun, especially with my friends (I was tempted to say "Band of Brothers," but that just sounded chessy). They helped me set up the game, install all the patches and mods, and set up the teamspeak. It was really awesome because we all had names from Reservoir Dogs (Eric, Dan, David and I were Mr. Blonde, Orange, White, and Pink, respectively) and other players thought we were in a clan. Here's a few conversations after my first game with Eric (ThornWithin81) and David (JediMaster0014):

ThornWithin81: its a blast though, and addicting as hell
AKindOfMagic14: .......how'd I do, first time and all?
ThornWithin81: really well, and i'm not kidding
ThornWithin81: for a while you were tied with the 3 of us, which is off the wall
ThornWithin81: because i've played that map, probably over 2000 times
ThornWithin81: see, I know for sure that dave and i have, just through sheer playing time, memorized each and every map
ThornWithin81: dan too, most likely
ThornWithin81: dave and i used to go like 3 and 10 all the time
ThornWithin81: when we broke .500 it was a shocker
ThornWithin81: but sniping is tough
AKindOfMagic14: believe it or not, I'm deadlier and more accurate with a sniper rifle
ThornWithin81: that's rare, but i noticed
ThornWithin81: a few times i'd run up behind you, see you fire, and someone would go down
AKindOfMagic14: I prefer finding that one little spot out of the way and catching those bastards completely unawares
AKindOfMagic14: I get nervous when we're the 4 of us against a huge group
ThornWithin81: I welcome the odds
ThornWithin81: that's so fucking cool, when 2 or 3 guys are afraid of coming towards you
AKindOfMagic14: *sigh* I can feel the obsession creeping in
AKindOfMagic14: I had a lot of fun
ThornWithin81: no problem man, that's what its all about

JediMaster0014: dan will help you with your sound settings and your ability to talk
JediMaster0014: yeah...in those kind of objective matches when it's close and the opposition is pretty damn good too, it's pretty nerve-wrecking

JediMaster0014: but once you see these mods i give you, you'll crap your pants
