A message to the administration of West Clermont School District

Fuck You.

The Senior Awards night was one of the worst events I've ever attended to in my life. An hour and a half of my life I'll never get back.

First off, Senior (academic) awards night should not include recognizing staff members, nor should it include awards given for athletics.

Secondly, quite simply, I'm appalled at the way some people dressed for this event. If you're going to make it as serious as it was, please inform the students.

Third, please try, next time, to invite ALL students recieving awards, even if they are in post-secondary or come from Glen Este.

Fourth, please don't ever award medals based on small schools again. So many deserving students were screwed out of much deserved awards simply because they were in a different school- instead, a less-deserving student in a different school got the award.

Fifth, logistically, try to plan these things, people. Fifty students in a grid of 5x5 seats with 4 inches between each seat is not a good idea. Nor is eight feet of recognition space.

Sixth, I realize that Amelia high school doesn't have the money to hire well-known speakers to present awards, but I do think that they should have the courtesy to practice their speaches and pronunciation of student's names (so sorry, Casey).

Eighth, what exactly is the point of witholding most of the awards we should've won earlier in the year? Certificates, awards, scholarships, stuff that should've been presented months ago were given out last night, and for what? To impress the parents by quantity over quality?

and Ninth, (and I acknowlege that this is a personal grudge, and I really don't want to admit that for some stupid and quite petty reason I seek to validate my high school experience with these stupid medals)...I didn't win any medals!
