I am officially human again.
Doctor's visit at downtown Children's Medical Hospital today- here's the final count of the day
Gained:
5 inches of height
a 2 foot scar from the base of my neck to my hips
steel rod and pins screwed/fused to my vertebre
mustache and sideburns, as well as a rediculous amount of shaggy hair
semi-temporary paralyzation of my right foot (that explains my funny gait and clogs)
a doctor's excuse for another *official* month of school off
the permission to take a real shower and drive
metric buttloads of makeup work
Lost:
12 pounds
1 rib
a dinner-plate sized area of feeling on my back
6 weeks of my life
most of my dignity
