The weekend went too fast.
Friday I did relatively little, what I did do wasn't really worth blogging.
Saturday, watched some movies, went frisbee golfing with Brandon (36 holes and my arm feels great!) and I went to the Book Rack with my little brother. I felt like a dork walking out of the place all psyched about the books I'd bought, but that's me I guess (FYI.........I bought a book about Calculus, a book about Probability and Statistics, a Star Wars novel [that makes, what, 53?? 54?? {I've lost count. (I love parenthesies and brackets)}], and an astronaut biography). My little brother bought a CD soundtrack to the Mortal Kombat movie........pretty much was a waste of six dollars untill song 7.........a whole techno rap of "MORTAL KOMBAT" yelling and the obligatory Raiden, Liu Kang, and Shang Tsung quotes.........lol, what a riot.
Sunday, I got up and went to Perkins to have an early breakfast with my mom. Then I went flying........more pattern work, more landings. My instructor says a) all students reach a "plateau" in their training when they get discouraged and they can't seem to do anything right, and that they soon get over it, it's just a difficult period; that this phase usually happens in the landing practice and that's my problem and b) he thinks he knows what I'm doing wrong. w00t. I'm certainly not discouraged, I figure, hey, I'm gonna make a few bad landings and mistakes at least once, so I might as well do it now with the instructor to help me.
:::SPEAKING of mistakes, some jackass pilot cut us off in the middle of our downwind track, unannounced, and then proceeded to make a horrible landing, unannounced, at the wrong part of the runway and managed to run his airplane off the runway. My instructor put in my logbook that I learned "collision avoidance and accident procedures":::
Then I went to work and busted out some dishes to "A Night at the Opera" by Queen (Erin let me have the radio).
